Here is a little slide show of the 2008 USAF Unified National Arm wrestling Championships at the Red Lion Hotel in Salt lake City. I met some really nice and very large people.

Friday

As is often the case with the news industry, today changed very quickly. I was originally assigned to shoot an arm wrestling championship, and then got sent out on a fire burning in the mountains west of Grantsville Utah. Here are a few photos from the fire. I hope you like them.

Interesting day

Today was an interesting day. I began the day with the opportunity to meet one of Utah's finest, and then to see one who wants to be one of the Nation's finest.
First I tagged along with UTA Detective Randy Mansfield, as he made some rounds stopping at some of the Trax stations checking on riders. He also serves as the Chaplain for the department.

Then this evening, I had the assignment to photograph Ralph Nader at Libby Gardner Hall at the University of Utah. About three hundred supporters turned out to listen.

A busy day today. Fires, baseball, and some hiking. And you know I think smoke jumpers are so cool.

How Stupid can I get ?

You know when you try to out-think yourself and it turns out to be a dumb move? Well today I did just that. I was sent out to cover a water rescue of a 52 year old man who was stuck in a creek and had been there over night. I took off and drove up the wrong canyon. I got nearly to the top and could not find anything. After calling the reporter, I found out what I had done wrong. By the time I arrived at the correct location, all I was able to capture were the paramedics loading the man into a Life Flight helicopter. Every other news agency in the valley got the entire event. So yah, I'm feeling so stupid. Laters.

listening to the storm

Not many photos today. I'm sitting here listening to a storm roll over the mountains waiting for some rain maybe.
Also listening to some music.
I'll see if I can get some photos from the storm.
